�This week I was blessed to view an exhibition�by
Reverend Steven Johnson
Leyba, a highly articulate Reverend of the
Church of Satan and founder of
the United Satanic Apache Front. The Reverend was there to promote his first
published book 'Coyote
Satan Amerikan', a compendium of his best poetic, spoken word,�and
graphically creative endeavors. It is some of the most inspiring artistic
ejaculation I've witnessed in ages.
�As he read from his book, his wife cut into his back flesh with a curved
exacto knife. Rows and rows of pentagrams appeared as the life force trickled
through the split skin, revealing the essence of what boiled beneath it.
And in his voice, the growl of the deepest angers from Hell. You could feel
the pain of his ancestors, the hatred of what made him jaded through out
his years of dealing with this psychologically (and moralistically) fucked
society, and most of all, contempt towards a race that has deemed itself
so above the ecological structure of this planet, yet pollutes it everyday
with it's sights, sounds, and reproductive processes.
�Leyba, a profoundly down-to-earth man, speaks his mind in ways most
of us could only dream of. And he does it well. Weaving chaos, beauty, and
pornography, the Reverend paints for you the truth of the modern day world
... and he does it with the most earthly of items: paper, beads, hair, cum,
used tampons, blood, shit, piss, and anything else the imagination can muster.
Think it's vile? You're right. And it's the best mirror the world could ever
possess, for it reflects not only what the world has cultivated within an
individual, but also represents the true face of a nation of liars, hypocrites,
thieves, and rapists.
�Is he evil? You're damn right he is. And you should be afraid, for
he is now revealing the ugly truth behind the fake plastic facade you all
wear within your white picket fence, 2.5 children, straight laced, bullshit
Christian world. The time has come to remove the blinders you try to force
feed your children. It is time to show the realities you have covered up
with your fears and lies.
